Mastectomy & Post-Surgery Swimwear

At Deakin and Blue we believe all women have the right to feel confident, comfortable and included in the choices available to them. We know that finding mastectomy or post-surgery swimwear can be difficult and can often involve compromising on style, fit or support. To address this we offer a wide range of swimsuits and bikinis which we can easily adapt, adding a pocket (or two) to make the garments suitable for wearing with a prosthesis.

Recommended Deakin and Blue Swimwear Styles for Post-Surgery

Swimsuits and bikinis which sit high in the cup are most easily (and effectively) adapted for a pocket for a prosthesis. The height of the bust coverage allows us to easily attach a pocket inside which is not visible from the outside of the garment.

We recommend looking at the following popular styles where adding a pocket can be easily achieved without compromising the overall fit or style of the garment:

The Signature Swimsuit

The Sweetheart Swimsuit

The Classic Reversible Swimsuit

The Long Sleeve Swimsuit

The X-Back Swimsuit

The Swimbra Bikini

Adding a Pocket(s) to Your Deakin and Blue Swimwear

Please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Place your order from our website selecting your preferred style, size and colour as usual.

Step 2: Once received, try on your new swimsuit or bikini and check you are happy with the overall style, colour and fit (other than where the pocket(s) will go).

Step 3: Once you are happy email us at hello@deakinandblue.com. We'll ask you for details of which side a pocket (or pockets) is required and the size of the pocket required (cup size).

Step 4: Post the swimsuit to our repairs team (we'll share the details with you).

Step 5: We'll add the relevant pocket(s) into the garment and return the item to you within 14 days.

We offer this service entirely free of charge.

Please note that once a garment has been customised for you, we cannot accept refunds or exchanges unless the item is found to be faulty. (This is why we ask you to check the overall fit, colour and style of the garment before we amend it for you).

Want to Know More?

We're aware that the process of selecting and trying on swimwear might be more complicated, emotionally and/or physically, than before surgery.

Most importantly, we're here to help - if you have any questions not answered above, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at hello@deakinandblue.com.
